IHI Acquires Sole Ownership of IHI Turbo America (formerly Warner-Ishi Corp.)
IHI acquired sole ownership of Warner-Ishi Corp., their former joint venture with Borg Warner Automotive, by purchase of Borg Warner's interest. The transaction was completed in June 1998 and the company was subsequently renamed IHI Turbo America. Operations will continue at the company's facilities in Shelbyville, IL. IHI Turbo America is a supplier of turbochargers for gasoline and diesel engine applications in North America and is part of a worldwide turbocharger supply network, including IHI in Asia and IHI Turbo Italy and Germany in Europe, serving the world's engine manufacturers.

IHI Turbo America chosen as supplier of the Supercharger for the Mercury Marine Verado Outboard Engine.
On February 12^th at the Miami International Boat Show, Mercury Marine launched the Worlds first supercharged production outboard engine named Verado IHI Turbo America will produce the supercharger for this engine in Shelbyville, Illinois. For more information go to www.mercurymarine.com
